When can you claim?
You may be eligible when your flight departed from a UK airport, arrived in the UK on a UK or EU airline, or is otherwise covered by UK261 or EC261. The delay normally needs to be at least 3 hours at the final destination.
- Flight arrived 3+ hours late
- The airline was responsible for the delay
- The claim is still within the relevant time limit
What counts as airline responsibility?
Technical faults, operational problems, crew shortages and some missed rotations can support a claim. Severe weather, air traffic control restrictions and airport security disruption may reduce eligibility, but every case is worth checking.
